Distance: .75 Mile Ocean Swim and a 3.1 Mile LOW TIDE Beach Run

HONORING A LOCAL FALLEN WARRIOR

Last year we honored Marine CPL Sean P. Kelly of Pitman, NJ. Cpl Kelly was killed in action January 26, 2005 when the CH-53E helicopter he was in crashed near Ar Rutbah Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Regiment, 3rd Marine Division and 3rd Expeditionary Force. Sean graduated from Pitman High School where he was a standout football player and wrestler.

 

 Our team at Philadelphia Treats for Troops are all civilians and never had the honor of serving our country. The Iron Soldiers SWIMRUN event is our way of paying back a debt we can never fully repay to our brave warriors.
